We rounded the corner of a switchback and saw the northern terminus of the Pacific Crest Trail

I was finally in the “Washington” that everyone talks about

It was bliss to be up there. It felt like real adventure again

The state of Washington loomed ahead, feeling like a held breath

I was alone struggling my way down from the mountains

We pass the 1,000-mile mark and enter Oregon after 3 months in the state of California

So many snowy peaks in the distance as we ridge-walked

I was so happy to be hiking with wonderful people who really fill up my cup

My first week back on trail didn’t exactly go as I expected

I traveled up north in order to “flip” to Northern California

My journey in the Southern California desert comes to a close as I hike the last 150 miles to Kennedy Meadows

I tackle one of the most infamous sections of the PCT!
